About Carolin
Carolin began her career as a tax fraud aid and quickly became the first female Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS in Portland, Oregon. After retiring from a successful career as an IRS investigator, Carolin found a passion for helping people (with seemingly impossible tax dilemmas) find resolution. Carolin is semi-retired and is taking new clients on a case-by-case basis.
Carolin employs her skills as an IRS insider, tax mediator, and problem-solver to resolve seemingly insurmountable tax liabilities. For 35 years she has used her expertise to help people approach their difficult tax problems with confidence in an environment of understanding, compassion, and trust.
Carolin enjoys writing, podcasting, gardening, playing competitive pickle ball, traveling to Oregon where she lives part-time, and hosting Airbnb guests at both homes.

I have an uncanny memory of a lot of childhood detail. I can actually recall an event, possibly as young as 3 or 4, a birthday party, the dress I had on, it’s color, how it felt on my body, and most of all (for you to remain at all interested) I have the lovely and blessed recall of my feelings and observations at the time.
